Translucent everything
Last year's school supplies just don't cut it this year. Translucent is the look to buy. Standup staplers, rulers, pens, binders, portfolios, boxes and pouches, calculators, telephones and even desk chairs and lamps are available in the coolest colours. Purple, green and blue are the runaway favourites.
Locker accessories
Must-haves include a magnetic mirror, a hanging locker organizer for rulers, pens and other supplies and magnetic picture frames.
Lunch bags
These insulated bags come in cool colours and patterns. Choose bags with Velcro closings, shoulder straps, zippered compartments and ones that are thermos equipped.
Day packs and back packs
The only way to transport everything one needs to get through the day. Big or small, shoulder strops or a cross-chest strap, courier-styled or traditional backpack, no student can leave home without one of these. They have replaced the book bags that parents carried when they went to school.
