8. A quick overview of our terms and services

Please see the Terms of Service and Standards of Content and Conduct documents for a more detailed overview of Alberta's, and your (the Community group's, responsibilities.

1. You agree to provide true and correct information about yourself and your organization in the Alberta.com Community Setup Forms, Sign-in Screens, and Group Profile Forms.

2. You agree not to use the service for illegal purposes or for the transmission of material that is unlawful, harassing, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene (including pornography), tortuous, or otherwise objectionable, or that infringes or may infringe on the intellectual property or other rights of another. The laws of Canada ensuring protection from defamation from harm through false remarks, made either verbally-slander-or through the printed word-libel, will prevail throughout Alberta's Community at all times. This especially includes any messages that advocates hate to any group, religion, ethnic group, and/or gender, as outlined in Part VIII of the Criminal Code of Canada, especially Sections 264 (Criminal Harassment); 297-316 (Defamatory Libel); and 318-320 (Hate Propaganda).

3. You agree not to use the service for the transmission of incorrect, untrue, false or misleading information.

4. You agree not to use your Alberta Web presence for business/commercial/for-profit purposes.

5. You agree that Alberta.com and Zip2 and their designees may in their sole discretion terminate your account if they believe you have in any way violated the Terms of Service.

6. Please report any violations of the Terms of Service to community@Alberta.com.
